Daniel is senior investment banking executive who possesses more than 24 years of experience in the infrastructure, power and utilities and oil and gas sectors. Throughout his career, he has provided investment banking and advisory services on over 250 transactions, totaling over $35 billion.

Daniel is currently the owner and CEO of Dean Capital Strategies GmbH (“DCS”) in Vienna, Austria. DCS, founded by Daniel in 2015, is a boutique advisory and holding company. In an advisory capacity, DCS has recently served as an advisor to clients including the IAEA, the World Bank, IFC, USAID, AECOM, STRABAG, AGIAS Advisory and others.
Between October 2011 and December 2015, Daniel formed and led the Infrastructure Advisory Group within the Mergers and Acquisitions (“M&A”) division of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (“RBI”) in Vienna, Austria, where he has led numerous high-profile infrastructure, power and utilities and oil and gas transactions in the Eastern European markets served by Raiffeisen.
From March 2006 until September 2011, Daniel served as the co-head of the U.S. Infrastructure Advisory Group within Bank of America Merrill Lynch (formerly, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith Inc.) in Chicago, U.S.A., where he provided investment banking and advisory services to both private developers, governments and governmental agencies pursuing large scale infrastructure projects in the transport, social and energy sectors.
Daniel hold a BSc in Mathematical Economics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (U.S.A.) and has also completed two years of studies toward a PhD in Statistics at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (U.S.A.)
