Tim has over 28 years of experience in the nuclear industry, including almost 23 years with the Department of Energy and the Office of Nuclear Energy.

He has held senior positions at the Department of Energy in the areas of nuclear energy, policy, external – congressional, state, and local – communications.
Tim is a recognized international expert on the backend of the nuclear fuel cycle and has spoken internationally on the subject.
He managed the President’s Blue Ribbon Commission on America’s Nuclear Future for the Department of Energy. After leaving federal service Tim was a Senior Advisor at Dickstein Shapiro (now Blank Rome), ran a nuclear waste project for the Bipartisan Policy Center, and established TAFrazier LLC where he is the Principal.
His clients include/included academia, the Department of Energy, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Canadian Nuclear Partners, Institute for Defense Analysis, the Global American Business Institute and several advanced reactor developers.
Additionally, Tim has a long career in space nuclear power at the Department of Energy where he was responsible for the development, qualification, assembly, testing, and certification for flight of the radioisotope power systems NASA has used in deeps space and on the surface of Mars. He was also responsible for plutonium activities at LANL, establishing a new source of plutonium-238 (the radioisotope used in these systems), and the negotiation with Russia to purchase plutonium-238 support of NASA missions.
